Igor Cecocho has graduated from the Belarusian State Academy of Music, where he studied under Prof. N. Volkov. From 1979 to 1990 he was a soloist of the Symphony Orchestra of the Bolshoi Theatre in Minsk and from 1986 to 1990 lecturer at the Belarusisan State Academy of Music. He has won several trumpet competitions, including the international competition in Daugavpils in 1983).
From 1992 to 2006, he was a soloist of the W. Lutoslawski Philharmonic Orchestra in Wroclaw. Since 1990 Igor Cecocho has been teaching the trumpet class at the Academy of Music in Wroclaw from 2006, at the Academy of Music in Łódź.
He has appeared as a soloist in Poland and abroad, playing on both modern and historical trumpets. Igor Cecocho has performed with all the major Polish symphony and chamber orchestras (Sinfonia Varsovia and Concerto Polacco) with under the baton of Jerzy Maksymiuk, Robert Satanowski, Reinhard Seehafe , Larry Livingston, Martin Hardy, Nikolai Dyadiura, Marek Pijarowski and Jerzy Salwarowski. His chamber appearances include co-operation with such excellent musicians as Emma Kirkby, Crispian Steele-Perkins, Paul Esswood, Gillian Keith and Daniel Stabrawa.
Igor Cecocho has recorded for radio, television and on CD labels many times. He has world premiered a number of contemporary works and taught many master classes. Many of hs students have performed very successfully in many international competitions.
